| Description: | Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative is accepting applications for an Engineering Field Technician position in Benson, AZ. |
| Duties: | The successful individual will: perform work in the field involving engineering, primarily related to staking of residential, commercial, irrigation, and subdivision line extensions as well as staking for line maintenance. Also, mapping, design and inspection of overhead and underground distribution and transmission facilities to ensure maintenance is done and clearances are met, and provide technical support to the Engineering Division. Other duties will include preparing general line extension work orders from field surveys and plats, using survey instruments, computerized staking programs, GIS/GPS equipment, and providing competent back up for the Engineering Service Representative and Line Extension Technician. |
| Qualifications: | Requirements are Associate's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; two to four years related electric utility surveying and staking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer knowledge that includes the following: Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Stakeout and AutoCAD.
